In November and December 2000, Center for Civic Initiative, was a coordinator of two groups that were on a working meeting in Poland.
Basically, the first group that was in Poland, precisely in the town Kelce, was consisted of 25 representatives from Macedonian NGOs that were from different towns, nationalities and interests. Here we talk about training of trainers, at the framework of the Support Program from Poland for the Local Democracy in the Republic of Macedonia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Poland financed this project, and the host of the Macedonian representatives in Kelce was Foundation for Development of the Local Democracy-Poland. The goal of this project was to broaden democracy of the local government. 
The second group was consisted of 25 Macedonian representatives from the parliament and journalists. The host of those 25 Macedonian citizens was Foundation for Development of the Local Democracy, from Warsaw. The visit of our Executive Director Goce Todoroski, was aiming towards the role of a coordinator and an active participant in the creation of the handbooks that were published as an ultimate result of the whole project of the polish foundation.
These handbooks consisted the basic problems in the field of the local self-government in Poland, with a goal to provide the positive experiences, and to become a part of the Macedonian practice.
