Center for Civic initiative, Prilep, in a period from May to December 2005, on area of Prilep and Bitola, has been realizing project "Prevention measures for conflict transformation within the Roma communities in Macedonia" financed by ifa Project zivik, Federal Foreign Office and Institute for Foreign culture Relation, Germany.
The aim of the project was to contribute in the establishment of constructive dialogue between Roma community and Police as well as to emphasize the role of Police in the community as factor for protection of human rights.
Within project frame it has been realized serial of trainings, held by experts, for police officials employed in the key sectors in the Sector for Internal Affair-Prilep.
From Ministry of internal affairs of R. Macedonia we received official approval for their readiness to be included in the project as well as the names of persons that should attend training sessions.
With the project were obtained 20 persons from Sector for Internal Affairs-Prilep, that attended on serial of trainings (8 trainings) and within the project were realized trainings for Roma leaders from Prilep and Bitola, i.e. realized 6 trainings for 15 persons from Roma population in Prilep and 6 trainings for 15 persons from Roma population in Bitola.
