On 24 April 2009 in the premises of hotel Klimentica in Ohrid, a round table was held on the topic of “Realization of the decentralization and LER, in the function of peace keeping, conflicts prevention, and as a precondition for ending the process of migration.” Representatives of the Local Government and nongovernmental organizations attended the round table. It is about an activity from the project “Strengthening the regional cooperation and development” realized on the territory of R. Macedonia. It was dedicated to the decentralization and the local economic development. During the discussions at the round table special emphasis was put on: Education in the function of the community development and peace keeping; Legal representation of the communities in all spheres of life; the economic development-a precondition for equal development of the country and the communities, ethnical difference and values as a gain to the country, not a reason for conflicts and accessing the EU and NATO the country and citizen strategic aim.
