The project aim was to enhance strong citizen engagement in the town of Prilep through the process of capacity building of the Neighbourhood Units.
The activities of the project were directed towards building capacities of the Neighbourhood Units by delivery of education program about Project cycle management, more concretely for creation of projects using zig-zag methodology, initiating small projects that will be prepared and realized by the Neighbourhood Units, initiating cooperation between Local Government and Neighbourhood Units, providing information for the citizen about the role of the Neighbourhood Units and their active inclusion in the functioning of N.U in Prilep
The project implementation brought following results:
- Educated representatives of 13 Neighbourhood Units about Project Cycle management (theory and practice) through zig-zag methodology
- Established cooperation between the Local Government and Neighbourhood Units;
- Initiated activities in the Neighbourhood Units (the best four will be pointed as positive examples)
- Informed public for the main functioning of the Neighborhood Units
Project has been realized from 01.07.2005 to 30.06.2006, financed by German Marshal Fund, program of Balkan Trust for Democracy.
