Macedonian Documentation and Information Center

One of the first serious contacts established by CCI was the contact with the Albanian Center for Human Rights - ACHR” from Tirana. They offered to train us in their programs on human rights. Two members of our organization were on five-day training in Tirana. CCI started working on this project, i.e. establishing of a Macedonian Documentation and Information Center (MDIC). In a short period of time, this library collected information about Macedonian and Albanian NGOs which work in the field of Civil Society and Human Rights and shortly afterwards information about other Balkan NGOs were included. Namely, this secured a faster and simpler communication and establishment of mutual projects between the Macedonian NGOs, and at the same time cooperation with other Balkan NGO’s. This enabled the Balkan NGOs to get enough information about activities in these fields and easily to find partners for mutual projects.  This project was funded by the Dutch Foundation “BILANCE” and our partner  was the Albanian Center for Human Rights”.

The project was realized from September 1998 to April 1999.
