In September 2000 ISC- Skopje and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) started the Program for Democratic Cooperation III (PDC), which was consisted of the enlargement of the Co-operation between the NGOs and the local self-government.
CCI was one of the few organizations that participated in this program.
CCI’s project for accomplishment of the aims of PDC III was “Information office for NGOs and citizens within the Local Self Government”. The project aimed at improvement of the co-operation between the NGOs and citizens and local self-government. As a result this project brought opened office within Local Self Government in Prilep, where citizens and NGOs could appeal every working day. In this office worked representative from non governmental organization (CCI).
For the first time in R. Macedonia, was opened office, within the Local Self Government where representative from non-governmental organization worked together with administration of Local Self Government. This person was link between Local Self Government, citizens and NGOs.
Information Office provided space for NGOs in Prilep to appeal every working day and to give and receive information about functioning of Units of Local Self Government. Establishment of this office increased transparency of Units of Local Self Government as so as an information flow about work and competences of Units of Local Self Government and needs of NGOs and citizens for providing help from Units of Local Self Government.
Activities realized within this project, beside the work of the office were: printing of flyers, brochures, organizing of trainings, tribunes and media appearance.
After project realization, this office continued to work.
The project was realized from September 2000 to December 2001, and it was extended from November 2001, until the end of July 2002.
