The Information service aimed at improving the communicating between the Roma population in Prilep and Unit of Local Government. In order to improve access of Roma people to the Local Self Government in Prilep, as a result of lobbing activities of CCI in the ULG, an information office in Roma settlement Trizla 2 in Prilep was established where as a consultant was engaged person from Local Self Government. This office enabled to provide adequate information for Roma population regarding competences of Local Government. Also in this office Roma people submitted their requests for the Local Self Government. Propaganda material was printed (poster, flyer, brochure) in order to inform Roma population for the work of Local Self Government. TV spot, tribunes, workshops, TV and radio programs contributed to better information of Roma people.
Results from project realization:
- Informed Roma citizens about competence of Local Self Government
- Delivered requests from 395 Roma citizens from Trizla 2 settlement to the local self government
- Established communication channel between Roma population and local self-government
The project was realized from 27.08.2003 -27.07.2004, founded by US Embassy in Macedonia. The project was realized with help of our partners Romani Sukaripa – Prilep and ULG - Prilep
