This project started as training for CCI personnel in the field of human rights. The trainer came form U.S. based corporation Human Strategies for Human Rights, Miss. Gina Gagnon. Miss. The topics of the training were the following:

- Human Rights Reference Guide;

- United Nations System/European Regional System;
|
| |
|
| |
- International Standards for Human Rights;
|
| |
- Macedonian Human Rights Commitments and Institutions;
|
| |
- Using the Internet for Human Rights research;
|
| |
- Review of Macedonia's State Report to the Committee for the Rights of the Child, and the Committee's comments;
|
| |
- Women Rights/Gender and Development;
|
| |
- Procedural and technical means for human rights monitoring and reporting;
|
| |
|
The training started on 16th June and lasted until 26th July. 2002. This training helped CCI personnel to develop knowledge and to be able to use training skills in order to perform trainings for other people and NGOs.
The aim of this project is to transfer the knowledge gained by Gina Gagnon to NGOs focused on Human Rights and to the people working in Institution where the link with citizens should be the strongest- Local Government.
The trainings were provided by CCI trainers on issues identified as needs assessments of the target group.
Within this project was printed manual for Basic human rights, in English and Macedonian language that was delivered to the all NGOs in the region
This project finished in December 2002 and it was financially supported by Foundation Open Society Institute –Macedonia.
