The project was realized through SEE RAN Network, financed by Danish foundation Fresta and in its implementation were involved Center for Civic Initiative (CCI) Prilep, Macedonia and Albanian Center for human rights (ACHR) Tirana, Albania.
In Macedonia, the schools in municipalities of Prilep and Dolneni were chosen pilot schools where CCI was working toward establishment of Human rights within all school subjects. The aim of our activities was integration of human rights within curricula and positive aspects of the cultural diversities integrated in the school subjects.
The project obtained ethnic mixed environments and provided trainings for teachers and pupils in the region. In the project frame we organized visit of a school in Albania where human rights are part of curricula and published teacher manual.
The project activities contributed to the regional peace and stability and are an example for positive and successful using of cultural diversities to bring closer different ethnic communities.
The project was funded by the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NAB program and SEE RAN and it was implemented in the period 01.11.2005 – 31.10.2006.
