“Peace is not just absence of war. This situation does not satisfy criteria for building safe and stable region. There is a great need for introduction of cultural diversity and the positive aspects of this”.
The project addressed teachers and pupils from primary school “Lirija” from Zitose (ethnic mixed environment) and obtained activities towards human rights with an accent on cultural diversity as an important part for the development of peaceful and stabile democratic society.
Overall objective of the project was to establish culture where human rights are understood, defended and respected.
Activities that have been realized within the project were aimed to contribute in future conflict prevention and to establish creative dialogue and cooperation among pupils and teachers from different ethnic communities. The activities within the project brought together young people from different nationalities (with special accent on Albanian and Macedonian) to work together towards mutual future, improving their knowledge and skills in human rights in order to contribute to more democratic society.
This project was realised in the period of 01.08.2006 – 31.12.2006 financed by UNDP.
