The partnership between Center for Civic Initiative (CCI) and Albanian Rehabilitation Centre for Torture (ARCT) is has been actively built up in the last few years. This comes from the fact that the cross border collaboration between Macedonia and Albania is needed from the aspect of human rights promotion initiatives.
The project How to teach children dealing with the ghosts of a troubled past took place both in Albania and Macedonia. The target groups were School teachers, school children.
The long term objective for this project was to contribute towards the overall attempts of the communities in the region in building peaceful environment and reconciliation process as well as preventing conflicts through enhancing cultural similarities embodied in human rights education and providing assistance for traumatized children.

CCI was actively included in the project in the inclusion of history teachers in meeting in Pogradec where the issue of Trauma roots was discussed and was organizer of two – day seminar for high and primary school professors and teenagers in Prilep.
The outcome was very fruitful in terms of interactive work with the target group and involvement of both CCI and ARCT in the process of providing the target group (the education institutions) with sufficient knowledge about the importance of development of a dialogue and human rights.
Project was realized from December 01, 2003 to May 31, 2004, funded from SEE RAN.
