From July 1998 to December 1999, CCI was among the 22 selected NGOs which worked on the Program for Democratic Co-operation (PDC II) organized by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC)-Skopje and USAID. This program offered additional education of the NGOs in the area of non-governmental working through training sessions and workshops. This was a significant support for the organizational development and capacity building of the NGOs.
Within this Co-operation, CCI implemented the project for rising initiative for establishment of permanent working body within the Council of the Prilep municipality. The aim of the project was establishment of a co-ordination body in the Council that would function as a communication channel between the local self-government and the local NGOs and would provide a possibility for the NGOs to participate in the creation of the public policy.
Within ULG Prilep this was first established body for cooperation with NVO.
This project is a good example for Co-operation between the local self-government and the NGOs.
