Realization of this project involved activities referring to increasing the level of knowledge of Roma students from year 1 to year 4. First, the students who needed additional classes by teachers from "Dobre Jovanoski" elementary school were identified. Afterwards, two teachers from "Dobre Jovanoski" elementary school and two persons from our organization carried out the additional classe in the premises of "Dobre Jovanoski" elementary school, and also in the homes of the students who needed help to write the homework or to prepare themselves for some written work at school. Also two tribunes and seven workshops were held. Persons attending the tribunes were introduced to the importance of education for the inhabitants of Trizla settlement. On the workshops the students were introduced to the way of organizing their working day, the ways of learning a lesson etc. Also parental meetings were held, on which parents were lobbed to let their children go to school ( and do not let their children leave the educational process).
As a result of this project, 4 persons were trained to realize additional classes at school. During the project realization, 120 students attended the additional classes and increased the level of their knowledge, which will help them to pass from one year to another.
This was actually a partner project with Roma NGO Romani Shukaripa - Prilep, that was realized from 01.02.2004 to 31.09.2004. It was funded by Institute for Sustainable Communities - Skopje.
