International workshop - at Best Western Hotel- Tourist in Skopje, January 2004
The workshop was one of the four foreseen within the frame of the project Building a Future Together. It was second held workshop, aimed to bring together the Balkan youth with to create projects for better future.
The workshop in Republic of Macedonia, was completely organized by Center for Civic Initiative and coordinated in partnership with Greek international NGO Center for Democracy and Reconciliation for Southeastern Europe from Thessalonici.
Being a second held workshop, it summarized the results from the first workshop, held on Halkidiki in September 2003, presentation of draft project proposals. As a concrete initiative for draft project from this workshop came out idea for "Forming Balkan's cafés" in the Balkans countries. These cafés will be places where young people will gather together to present different cultures as so as to develop close cooperation. As on the first workshop, on this one, there were some eminent guests invited as Mr.Vladimir Milcin, Mr. Saso Ordanovski, Mr. Agon Demjaha, Mr. Heder Goldman, Ms. Annika Polo, Mr.Stefan Klosonski. The workshop included two day work with the Oxford Leadership Academy lecturers Mr. Brian Bakon and Ms. Tanja Petovar.
The goal of holding the workshops was to facilitate the long-term process of reconciliation through creative cross-border well conceptualized dialogue. The workshops produced a platform for creative ideas for the valorization of the reconciliation process.
The project was realized in January and February 2004, and was funded by the Balkan Trust for Democracy program by German Marshal Fund.
