This project would aid the process of reconciliation in the West Balkan countries, such as Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina so as to strengthen the improvement of interethnic relations as a fundamental developmental factor.
The process of reconciliation will be aided with the analysis of the UNDP early warning reports through the organization of regional round tables which will be attended by the authors/experts, NGO, representatives of the political parties, representatives of the schools and media so as to undertake an initiative to secure consultative politics in the EU institution. Recommendations and reconciliation mechanisms in the Balkan will be created so as to be presented to the EU institutions. The governments and the political creators in the chosen countries will be given support.
The project activities will result in:
- 2 regional round tables will be organized,
- A conference in the European premises will be organized,
- A Manual for reconciliation mechanism with regional recommendations for implementation will be created
- Consultative politics will be developed for implementation and monitoring of the created reconciliation mechanism which will be presented to the governments and EU institutions.
The project is realized in the period 17.03.2009 – 17.01.2010 funded by European Commission, the Stability Instrument, Peace-building Partnership Support.
