One can be without everything, except without health

 
 

This project was implemented in the period from 01.01.2004 – 30.12.2004 and it was funded by Foundation Open Society Institute - Macedonia.

The goal of this project was to improve the approach to health institutions and the quality of services provided for Roma population. The goal was realized by documentation of human rights violation cases and  processing to relevant national and international institutions, establishing a good communicating channel between the Roma population and medical workers, additional education of Roma population and medical staff and functioning of a mobile team in Roma settlement Trizla 2 and medical institutions in Prilep.

The successful realization of the foreseen activities actually meant elimination of the determined discrimination towards Roma patients in medical institutions and providing equal relationship towards them.

The result of this project was improved communication between Roma population and medical workers and more educated Roma people on responsibilities concerning their health.
