The goal of this project was to help in the development and strengthening of NGOs in the region.
The project also included cooperation with the local government by improving the communication. The second positive goal of this project was: building the strong NGO network.
This Center provided the following services to the NGO:

- Use of office space for the needs of these organizations, meetings, project activities etc.

- Use of telephone services, sending of faxes.
|
| |
- Use of computers and Internet communication and printing of documents.

| |
- Photocopying documents and materials
|
| |
- Use of books and other literature of NGOs work for NGO needs with earlier announcements and requests.

- Provides applications for projects.
|
Within the activities of the NGO Support Center there were included workshops and seminars for building capacity of NGOs and improvement of their work and function.
In communication with the NGOs most often the Center provides directions of rules for creating and directing with the projects proposals and building the base for their cooperation in the future projects and in the network of NGOs to the local level.
All services provided by the NGO Support Center were free of charge.
Center for Civic Initiative, with its experience and capacity, as a leading domestic organization in the region has the role of a strategic partner in the project NGO Support Center, funded and managed by Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia and Swiss Agency.
The Center in Prilep is a part of the network that includes other three centers founded in the towns (Veles, Shtip and Kichevo) of Macedonia.
This project essentially helped in development and strengthening of the NGOs in the region and all activities conducted in order to achieve the goals
In 2004 the project started the third phase of it's realization and it was finished in December 2005. This phase was named as "Support of the NGO's initiatives for local community development".
