On 25 and 26 July in the hotel Belvedere in Ohrid in cooperation with Common values from Skopje in the frames of the project “Strengthening the process of reconciliation in West Balkan” a round table was organized on the topic of: Lack of joint vision of the ethnic groups for the countries development and the accession to EU and NATO.
This project aimed at reconciliation among the countries in West Balkan, including our country, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of improving the interethnic relations as a key factor for development.
Each member of this field attended the round table so as to make an analysis of the situation in the abovementioned countries as well as to suggest recommendations and mechanisms for successful reconciliation in the countries and region. Experts from UNDP in Macedonia, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives from the civic sector, political parties and the Media participated in the discussion and the process of analysis.
The participants in the round table confirmed the crisis factors that are bound to arouse conflicts in the region. The key crisis factors were located in the education and the lack of joint vision for regional accession to EU and NATO. A message for revision of the educational programs and their readjustment with the process of integration was sent by the participants to their countries that took part in the conference.
